EP.187: Fact Checking Your Thoughts

Emotional Mindset, Money Mindset, Podcast

Thoughts are not facts.

It can be difficult to accept the idea that thoughts are not facts at first, especially when we are in the throes of an emotion.

While we can have lots of emotionally charged thoughts, they are not all absolute truths. Recognizing the difference between fact and opinion can assist us in challenging the dysfunctional or harmful opinions we have about ourselves and others.

Today on the Make More Money as a Dietitian Podcast, Christine shares several simple ways you can “check yourself before you wreck yourself” (pun very much intended; thanks Ice Cube) by assessing your thoughts through fact-checking.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

  • How facts easily differ from your thoughts.
  • The importance of fact-checking your thoughts.
  • Examples of negative consequences that can occur when we believe our negative thoughts.
  • How to shift your thinking to create a more positive, pleasant experience even in the worst circumstance.
