In my world, there’s a difference between creating value and creating the appearance of success.
When you’re taking action for the appearance of success, you’ll spend your time on your website, your business cards, a beautiful home office, perfectly posed IG photos, and strategies to raise your likes, comments, and follows.
You’ll spend a lot of money on a lot of things that make you SEEM valuable.
But creating value is much less flashy. It doesn’t give you the dopamine hit of “appearing successful”.
It also looks like putting people and service first.
Not caring as much about how you look, as how you feel, and the way you are thinking.
Spending money on managing your mind, before spending money on upgrading your “brand”.
Working from wherever you can, and showing up whenever you can, to GIVE perspective and new nutrition concepts to everyone you meet.
Engaging with the two people who are following you. Instead of worrying and complaining that those two people aren’t enough.
Giving value is a lot less sexy. It’s not flashy at all. It requires a lot of work when no one is looking, without a lot of instant gratification. You may not “appear” successful.
But you will be, if you keep going.
However, when you build your business from the appearance of success, you’ll always have to spend a lot of money to make a lot of money. Your profits will be slim. You will look way richer than you are.
Hello, imposter syndrome.
But when you build with value, you’ll spend less money to make more money. You’ll understand where to put your money first and how to utilize it best. Your profits will be high. You’ll look way less rich than you actually are.
Look less rich, yet actually being richer.
Create more value.
Serve more people.
Do it without the website, business cards, and fancy IG graphics.
You’ll know those things were never the reason you made money.
And you’ll understand how powerful your brain is and the role it plays in your revenue growth.
You’ll have high-profit margins forever, my friend.
